The series number on a Monster Jam 1:64 truck tells you which numbered wave of Spin Master's range it came from. Spin Master has made the official Monster Jam die-cast since 2019, and each wave gets its own number. 1:64 is the scale: the model is one sixty-fourth the size of the real truck, the same scale as a normal Hot Wheels car. Below we explain how the numbers work, then go through Series 22 to Series 40 one by one.
What the series number means
Spin Master releases its Monster Jam 1:64 trucks in numbered waves, and the card shows the wave as the series number. Series 33, for example, brought trucks such as Captain's Curse, Bad Habit and Grease Trap.
Popular trucks such as Grave Digger come back in many different series. The series number is how collectors tell one release of the same truck from another.
Where the series started
The first wave came out in 2019. It included Grave Digger, Max-D, El Toro Loco, Megalodon, Monster Mutt Dalmatian, Wonder Woman, Bounty Hunter and Pirate's Curse. Several of those trucks have come back in later series, so the number is the quickest way to find the one you are after.
Where to find the series number on the card
On many cards the series number runs down the right edge of the front, in English, French and Spanish, for example "SERIES 33 / SÉRIE 33 / SERIE 33".

Some cards use a different design with no series panel on the front. Instead they show a group or theme name in the top corner, such as Legacy Trucks, Toon Shaded, Collide-A-Scope or Cyberflare. On these cards the front does not show the series number.

Spin Master also sorts trucks into named groups, such as Legacy Trucks, Crazy Creatures and Danger Divas. Legacy Trucks are some of the best known Monster Jam trucks.
Chase trucks
A chase truck is a special truck packed in among the normal ones for collectors to look for. Grease Trap was the chase truck for Series 33, and Wasabi Warrior was the chase truck for Series 31. Both are food truck designs Spin Master made for the toy range. Grease Trap is themed on a 1950s American diner, and Wasabi Warrior on a sushi truck.

1:24 trucks and two packs
Spin Master also makes a bigger 1:24 size. Our boxed Max-D 1:24 says 1:24 scale and working suspension on the front of the box. Check the scale printed on the card or box as well as the series number. See our Monster Jam 1:24 trucks.
Two packs put two 1:64 trucks on one card, often as a matchup such as Grave Digger against Grave Digger The Legend. See our Monster Jam two packs.
The real trucks behind the toys
Monster Jam is a live monster truck tour run by Feld Entertainment, and most of the die-cast trucks are modelled on trucks that compete in it. Grave Digger was started by Dennis Anderson. Son-uva Digger is a Grave Digger spinoff, and in 2026 it was driven by his son, Ryan Anderson. A few trucks in the range, like Grease Trap and Wasabi Warrior, were made for the toys only.
Monster Jam or Hot Wheels Monster Trucks?
These are two different ranges. Mattel made Monster Jam toys under its Hot Wheels name until 2018. Spin Master has held the Monster Jam toy licence since 2019, and in April 2026 it renewed that licence for another 10 years, die-cast included.
In 2018 Mattel started its own Hot Wheels Monster Trucks range, which does not carry the Monster Jam licence. Trucks such as Great Bite belong to that range, and some of them are Treasure Hunts. Our Treasure Hunt guide explains how to spot one. You will find these trucks in our Hot Wheels Monster Trucks collection.
